BIOGRAPHY
DAI YUN CHI(1993), PAINTER
Dai Yun-chi was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1993, and studied under British painters.
His creation focuses on the change of light and shadow, the impression of time, and uses landscapes or characters in life as objects of depiction. Divorced from the past art form, no longer catered to the tradition, and boldly abandoned the contemporary concepts and formulas of abstract creation. Shift the focus to the pure form of visual perception.
The pictures are described objectively, calmly, and truthfully, with delicate brushstrokes and soft colors. They are neither described in accordance with the beauty model like classicism nor created by paintings that do not process life, nor do they idealize life according to subjective wishes like romanticism. Instead, it reflects life as it is, portrays a kind, natural, and simple reality, loyal to one’s own visual experience, and portrays ordinary and simple natural themes in front of them.
